The Seeds of Success
Success in Any Level of Life is quite different … depending on your perspective. From a mortal or earthly view, success is:
Climbing the corporate ladder,
Starting a company that has huge potential,
Amassing Great Wealth and Power
Achieving fame and popularity whether on a stage, a sports field, or through social media.
From a God-perspective, success is achieving your intended purpose which may include the above is merely about YOU. The best version of success is not self-centered but should be purpose-driven, and that purpose is not myopic or for your own glorification. The greatest success is in who and how many people get to enjoy the success. Does the image of an extremely wealthy person look like Howard Hughes who made millions but became a fearful hermit who could not tolerate exposure to other people? Loneliness with wealth is many time worse than a hardworking family sitting around the supper table. Haven’t we not seen The Christmas Carol, where Mr. Scrooge was living “The Rich Man’s Life” and found it tasteless?
God made each of us as unique creations, and we were made to succeed. Yes, God expects all of us to succeed in the places, times, and condition we are in. Your successes in life are not all headline news or meant to determine the size of the yacht you will buy.
“Jerusalem, the time is coming, when it will be said to you: ‘Don't be discouraged or grow weak from fear! The Lord your God wins victory after victoryand is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and He will refresh your life with his love.” Zephaniah 3:17
