Expections and Solutions
When in the throws and troubles of life, it is our Job-like desire to argue with God about the path to solving the problem. We all have our expectations and solutions already mapped out, and we must wonder if the same logic that got us here is sufficient to get us out of the hardship.
So, is the answer to a bad marriage always a divorce? Is the solution to money problems borrowing more money? Is the solution to ill health taking a certain pill? No!
Logic and reason press this question, “Does digging the hole deeper get you out of the hole?”
In times of trouble, we need a better mind, seasoned wisdom, and biased answers. What logic or foolishness thinks that we know the path out when we wandered into the forest and got lost? Can a drowning man rescue himself?
In the crucible FAITH, not OPINION will open the door. Not faith in yourself as though you haven’t already reached the limits of your understanding and endurance. But faith in this ….
God is quite biased that His ideas and plans are far, far superior to our best thoughts.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
In plain language, we have a superior Mastermind in God than any austere group of good men. We only need to understand how God works and offers His advice for a better solution. But, know this ….
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
It is loudly declared that God does not want you to fail, but to succeed. But success may not come in the way we prefer. So, how is the solution found? First of all, do not panic or scramble to make things worse. God has already put a plan in place that included you and your best path. Solutions are rarely instant and may require that we hold the fort while the cavalry is dispatched to reach you.
Unfortunately, this is a profound and powerful subject that takes more than a one-page answer. It requires that each of us rethink, recalibrate, and retool our Belief System. We also need to understand that “The Crucible” is purposeful in its design to refine us into vessels of silver and gold.
